After the War; The Impact
The 600,000 deaths of the Civil War were more than in the Korean War, Vietnam War, World War I, and World War II combined. Andersonville’s 13,000 deaths were only 2.2% of the Civil Wars’. The War had a great impact on the development of modern weapons and techniques. On July 15, 1870, after ratifying the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the federal Constitution, Georgia was readmitted to the Union.
